Triumph TR6 - Luggage rack

I just removed my luggage rack to buff out the trunk, the front was held on with nuts and bolts, but the trailing edge had some kind of rusty spider looking fastener that ended up breaking. What can I use in these blind holes, the holes already there are pretty big.I though about butterfly fasteners(drywall type)but everytime I remove the rack, the butterfly will fall inside.Any ideas?

Your answer is the "well nut". See an example at the link.

I used them on my rack. No leaks and reusable.

Thanks for the info, the "well nut" is the answer,is there a source of these in the USA? or an equivalent.

Is there a Home Depot nearby? That's where I got mine. Found the stainless hardware I wanted to use first, to fit the holes in the rack, then matched up the well nut. The hole I had to drill was bigger than my index finger, scared the crap out of me! I had drilled a test hole in a scrap piece first! It's very solid, though....I have grabbed the rack more often than not if I need to roll the car forward or back in the garage.
