Triumph TR6 - SU linkage picture
Does anyone out there have a picture of the proper linkage configuration on the TR6 for SU carbs?. I just got my SU's and some linkages and plates but I want to have a good idea of install before I go ripping off the ZS's + I need to see if I'm missing any pieces. Thanks. |

JT, I'm out of town tomorrow but will look on Sunday afternoon in my library and see if anyone has a set up pictured. I do have the ZS both photographed and diagramed, but don't know about SU 'til I look at some of the references. db |

Thanks, the biggest help I need is with the "plates" on the bottom. The "rods" between the carbs is the same as my MG but I'm haveing trouble figuring out the transition on the bottom with respect to the plates position and converting side to side to up and down. |

I took one filter off to get a better view of the linkage plates.

Erik, thanks so much for the pictures. From your pictures and my ZS set-up I can summarize I can use my existing brackets to get the job done, whats throwing me is he sent me two brackets and a "long" rod that I assume goes on the stock TR6 SU set-up. After looking at yours and mine I think I can leave the cross over bracket alone and use the "short" rod and just flip the arm around on the SU's link rod. Ah, British cars, always an adventure! |
