Triumph TR6 - Summer BBS get together
Gentlmen of the great white north, Since we have an annual winter get together, I though it was time we had a summer get together. I was thinking July 18, or 25... both a Sunday. I picked Sunday as I thought it would be a good day to take your sweety for a ride (in the 6 of course) and meet at my home for a BBQ say noonish. I would come down a meet up with yual' in say Feversham and take the drive up the Beaver Valley and end up in Clarksburg. I will supply wabbly pop, pop, and the Bergs and Dogs. If your better half likes wine, then bring some along. So, what do ya' think? Rick C Sorry to you other chaps...I know, not TR6 fix it up stuff but easiest way I know how to get intouch with the Ontario connection. |

Hi Rick, At this time the 25th will work the best for me...I'm sure it will be a trrific time! Charlie |
Charlie Ballard |
Charlie You guys from the tri-city area should get a convoy going. Oh ya, to all, will e-mail map upon request. Can not get lost up here..only one traffic light in town and the only one for miles. Rick C |
Rick Crawford |
OOPS I have performed the fatal error of all married men. I did not check with the boss. It seems the 25th is out for me ( sorry Charlie). The following weekend is a long one (Aug 1st.) so it is out for most people. So...another choice is August 8th. Rick C |
Rick Crawford |
Ok Rick....I've marked Aug 8th on my calendar in case that's the one thx Charlie |
Charlie Ballard |
Hi Rick, I would be new to the group and would love to attend but I also have no TR6 to drive yet since I am still putting mine together. I would like to join you but really don't want to miss a day of potential work on the car. I figure that I have about 2 days worth of welding work and then can send for painting. I can then reassemble the rest which may take me about 5-6 days. That would mean that late August may be doable so if the 8th doesn't pan out I could possible join you for a later date. The 8th is out for me anyway as I will be away on vacation. Regards Mike Petryschuk Georgetown, ON |

How far is that from Tequesta, Florida? John |

If I remain ahead of schedule then this will be an early coming out for my baby...fingers crossed? post details so we can plan accordingly? thanks bob |

Hi, Rick. This sounds great, and I ( we...the boss and I ) would like to join in. I have marked Aug 8th on my calander, so look forward to then. Charlie, perhaps some of us in this area could meet in say Shelburne, and caravan to Feversham. Cheers Pete Russell Erin, Ont. |
Pete Russell |
Sounds like a plan Pete ! Hey Rick sounds like it's coming together.. you should you call it the "BBS BBQ" Charlie |
Charlie Ballard |
It is starting to look like Aug 8th. The BOSS Cheryl has approved. John, you better get going now if you want to be here in time. As the goose flies, about 1200 miles. Bob and Michael: There will be others attending that may not be in a TR6. All are welcome to the BBS BBQ. ( I live in Georgetown then Terra Cotta). Pete, I made 2 mistakes in my first post. I meant to say Flesherton not Feversham. Flesherton is North of Shelburn on HWY 10 at County road 4. Just East of Flesherton (4KM) is a small country store at the corner of County road 4 and 13. You can only turn North there which goes to Eugenia. 13 goes through part of the Beaver Valley and ends up in Clarksburg. At the corner of 4 and 13 would be a good meeting place. You guys comming from the tri-city area, out of Arthur is county road 14 to Priceville...a good road. Right on 4 to Flesherton. MAPQUEST key in 123 Hill St, Clarksburg, On N0H 1J0...I do not really want ot post my home and cell number here, so e-mail me for this please (take out the "at" and the ".dot" in my e-mail address). Clarksburg is 2 hours N of Toronto and 1.5 Hrs from Bills' shop in Guelph. Yup sounds like it could be a great day. May the goose shine down upon us for the day. Rick C |

Hey Rick, Aug.8th sounds good, will need much more specific directions though, email me. Chris |
Christopher Trace |
Hey Rick Guess I could put the frame in the back of the truck and take it for a ride. The Boss here says she gets out less than the TR frame so I think we will be there. My dead body was my alternitive...:) Bill |
Bill Brayford |

Post some pictures! We were on vacation for 2 weeks, at a lake in Indiana, and got back last weekend. Needless to say, it has rained every single day--the poor car got to run this morning, but it had been over 3 weeks since the last time. I really hate this time of year! You guys enjoy your summer. Winter is coming soon to South Florida, thank God! John. |

Hi All, We had a gorgeous sunny day for top down driving up north to Clarksburg (near Georgian Bay and about 2hrs north of Toronto ) and the home of our esteemed buddy Rick Crawford for the first TR6 BBS BBQ. We enjoyed a local drive and then back to Rick's place for a BBQ and a couple of cold ones. Rick's Wife Cheryl made sure we were all well fed with her excellent cooking (I loved that dessert!) and her brother Gilly flips a mean cheeseburger ! It was a great day to see friends again !! Cheers to the Crawfords!! Charlie Enjoy the pix http://members.rogers.com/sharethree/ |

Charlie As usual, you have done an excellent job at posting some pics. A big thanks to you. To bad Holly had to be out of the group shot ( glad you decided to attend Holly). The mirror shot is a good one ( I guess Holly was holding the steering wheel eh?) Charlie get that head light aimed:) Charlie, I had to do a "refresh" to get the rest of the pics to load...probably my slow internet connection:) I then saved them all to view again on a cold winter night:) To all who attended, it was Cheryl's and my pleasue to host the first TR6 BBS BBQ. Great day/drive, great company, and great cars. Thanks again Charlie and Holly. Rick C PS Charlie, thanks for giving the day a proper name. See you al' at Bronte. |
