Just in case....If your wipers won't "park" it's not in the dash switch it's in the park switch inside the motor

Thank you, Charlie !!

Ordered a new wiper switch, didn't fit, also didn't work right. Now I know why.

It sounds like the park switch but there is some tests you can do thanks to Dan Masters book to confirm that it is...if needed I can send you that info via e-mail.

Yes new switches do not fit the hole...they are bigger. I hate to say this but you will need to file the inner metal dash for it to fit. I have heard (and read) you can file the switch smaller to fit. Not sure of procedure on this though.

Eric-The replacement Lucas wiper switches (at least from TRF) don't function like the originals. The center position won't park the wipers. Mine is wired so that top is off, middle is low speed, and bottom is high. It is also mentioned in the Moss catalog in the "switches" section.

Thanks guys,

Problem was the parking of the wipers. New switch didn't park, original old switch also didn't park (anymore). I'll think I keep the original one. Still going to test the park switch of the wiper motor.

Best wishes, Eric

Eric, That means it is the park switch inside the motor....under a gear..it's a bit tricky but well worth it to do. When I did mine I cleaned out all the old grease etc and repacked with new grease and oil plus a paint job...turned out great and works perfectly now.
Good Luck
