Triumph TR6 - Thinking Even More of Spring

Gents, here is what I came up with for a deflector. I used a nylon mesh. Now I can't wait to try it out to see if it works. If it does, I might make another with a more rounded profile instead of the 45 degree angles, but we shall see.

You better have taken pics during construction and have a material list
Or your toast

Looks good Tony. Let us know how it works.

The screen looks good..How did you attach it ??
To stop the wind going under the screen and coming up the sides of your seats I added a vinyl piece.
I made 2 brackets and bolted mine to sides
I built mine out of Plexi and they do help

Can I have your E-Type ? hahaha

Cheers

Charlie, you seem to have a lot more room behind the seats than I have (do you have the rare long wheelbase model?) The deflector sits tight against the cover over the folded top so there won't be much room for airflow through there. Even at that, the deflector touches the top of the headrests which I will have to address in the mounting apparatus. What I have so far is a couple of brackets that the deflector slips into at the base of the uprights. To hold it back from contacting the seats I think I will need a couple of locating pins, possibly secured to the seat belt mounting bolt if that can be done without compromising anything.

Sorry, you can't have my E-Type. Its like my liver. I'm not done with it yet.

Hi Tony
If you'd like I can send you more pix showing my bracket etc

Thanks, Charlie, if you wouldn't mind. Your installation is different from others I have seen and the brackets are hidden nicely by that lower skirting.
