Triumph TR6 - Time to find a crank

The "thrush washer" blues strikes again....Scott Helms really went to bat with the bronze washer which was custom shaped to my crank face but it is too far gone to be viable....need a new (or good used) crank shaft.....the search begins.........

Yeah, the bronze washer held up for about 500 miles but the crank face is too worn so I'm sure it coudn't get a nice polised face and kept wearing the bronze. End play is to the point where shifts into first are becoming sticky again.

Don't think they years are important. Mainly can't be a 69 or 250 crank

Team Triumph (www.teamtriumph.com) lists core crankshafts (std journal) for $100. Probably worth a call if you can't find one locally.

I wonder what "core" means? Sounds like it still needs machine work. I pulled my pan today and the TW's had fallen out. Not a happy camper in the least. I'm picking up a tired block/crank tomorrow and Don's friend has a crank I can use too. I'm taking a break from it today.

May be a little far away for you to deal on but a guy on the "Kijiji" website in Medicine Hat, Alberta is advertising a complete TR6 engine and gearbox for $500. That gets you a crank and everything that bolts on around it. :0) May be worth a look by you or other members at that price.
