Triumph TR6 - Tops

I need to replace my original top on a 1974. I plan to install an original type w/ zipper rear window and reflective tape. Does anyone have any experience with the Robbins, Crown, Tickford, Roadster Factory or others. Thanks, W
Wayne

Try these guys. http://www.caribou.cc I bought one of theirs. It is not vinyl but canvas like. Not really canvas but the material used on Mercedes tops. Have really been pleased. Looks better than any other I have seen. I understand that it is not like OE but in my opinion much better. At 239.00 for a zippered rear window a real bargain as well. I had to wait a while for delivery but was more than happy in the end.
Thanks,
Ashley

Wayne, I just ordered and have installed a tonneau from Little British Car Co. They have the tops and are running a special price. The top for TR6 was around $260 for the zipper back window. Seems they had canvas as well as mohair at a different price. The choice of colors were black or tan. I was pleased with the tonneau cover quality and they come from the UK. It does take 4 plus weeks to get it. They have a web site with all of the information

Wayne, I have never seen a canvas top on a 6 before but I will tell you one thing, they look great on old Jags and Healeys. I say go with the canvas even if you have to wait. Soon you won't need the top.

I installed a Caribou (canvas-like) top when I Re&Re'd my top. Put on new (aluminum) rails, rail rubber, and webbing. Wire sanded the top's frame, and re-painted. Looks great!

Maybe I am missing something here, but canvas is for tents, Nes Pa ?
Bill, Where is Noeth Carolina :)
Wayne, do what Bill L did and go with OE parts.
Again, look at the advertiser this BBS. Also there is a past thread (2001) re a tool that I highly recommend for the snaps. Thread is (if I recall) "snap Tool"....more than worth its' price.

Then why would you put one on a car? Besides are not our little babies suppose to be driven with the top down? Oh ya..sorry...you get a lot of rain out your way:) Going into the high 20s this weekend...vroom vroom!
P.S. Don K, Get yourself Winzip (off the net), took a pic of "my mistrs" past weekend with my new little camera you saw.

Rick I know this is not the format however I have tried to e-mail you a couple of time recently and the mail returns stating address unknown. Could you send me your e-mail address? By the way the answer is Charlotte, NC

Thanks all. I decided on an OE type from LBC if they can add the reflective stripe. If not, it'll be TRF, they look great but are a bit pricey.
