Thanks Don. They really look nice, with some interesting options and improvements. The price isn't too bad either. Has anybody put "eyes-on" yet? Jeff

THe frames are suppose to be exellent and be more true than the originals (not tough to do)
Coil overs!!!!

Hi all, I'm new here. Tony the owner of RATCO is a good friend of mine and is in our little club here on Long Island. I have seen these frames and each one gets better than the last, and the Coil over shock upgrade is amazing. especially when it is paired with the rear sway bar that runs up and over the chassis.

Ab is a weekend regular at the shop that make them. Hope he is gettin a sipen for the verbal work he does.

Well not so much of a stipen as an agreement. He builds, we add our two cents in thoughts (sometimes they work) and he makes the money. No really Tony has been very receptive to ideas, especially about aftermarket parts. How cool would it be to get a Coilover conversion kit that you can do at home in your garage, or how about getting rid of all that Throttle linkage sloppy mess in favor of a cable conversion, to name just a couple. Keep checking with his site for updates.....

Are these frames made from chrome moly? If not, Why not?

No they are not made of chrome moly, box steel tube and I don't know why.
Ab Crevoiserat

The why is probably related to ease of fabrication and repair. Your basic construction grade steels can be welded and used in the as welded condition. Your medium strength, low alloy steels can be welded (4130,4140), but require post weld thermal treatments (stress relief) unless they are rather thin walled. It really gets tricky when you get to the high strength low alloy steels (4340M, 300M, D6AC, etc).

Hey Ab,
What is the status of the TR6+6? The photos on the LI Triumph site have not been updated in awhile.
Thanks,

Since Tony started RATCO it has kind of been shelved. It is still right about where the pictures left you. There has been some talk of getting back to it this year during our "Tech" season. But thats all it is at this point. It will get done, I know Tony wants to finish it, so we shall see.....
