The video stream was captured from a Dutch news station. Schumacher managed to out-pace the Italian Eurofighter on a 600 meter stretch. They also attempted a 900 and a 1200 meter run; both times the Eurofighter was faster. |

Hey charlie How would I go about downloading the commercial to my computer. I would like to keep a copy of it on file |
Steven |
Hi Steven Just right click on the link and "save as" and tell it where to download to...for example C:/temp or where ever you like Charlie |
Charlie Ballard |
Unfortunately I am on a Mac and there is no right click so I am not sure what to do |
Steven |
I would guess File/Save as.. |

has anyone noticed that on this car in the commercial there is no union jack on the rear quarter panel but instead what appears to be the upper half of the U.S. flag...I'm serious. It's hard to stop the action but can be spotted at the beginning when the car pulls away and at the end when the car backs up from the hay stack. Media player was easier to view and locate the exact frames than quicktime. Did tr6's come with U.S. flags on the quarter panel? Chris |

Hi Chris, I had a close look and it appears to me to be white letters "TR6" . I believe the car is a '72 and the British flag was put on exported cars only starting in '73 ( to celebrate 50 years of Triumph cars and 20 years of the TR series ). The American Flag was never put on any TR6 only the British. cheers Charlie |

Chris E. Most definitely the white TR6 letters/number. The Union Jack badge went on NA bound TRs from commision CF1xxx1 1973 (produced from 8/72 to 8/73)and was an Americans' marketing idea. Yup, car earlier '72 and it is a NA TR6 (not staying in GB). You better hope our friends across the pond do not read your post What a dasterdly deed that would have been. Rick C |
