Triumph TR6 - TR6 Headlight

Hi All,

I just found, and joined, this forum. Looks great!

I have a '73 TR6 and I need to replace a headlight sealed beam unit. Does anyone know of a standard replacement unit that I can by locally. I just need the sealed beam unit, not the whole assembly.

Thanks in advance.

BTW - I'm in Thornhill Ontario - not Alberta as the thread shows. Not sure how that happened.

Fred,
Welcome to the site. If you are looking for a pre-owned unit, and don't mind the drive to Fergus, call Colin Williams @ 519-843-2215. He has a 6 that he is parting out, and may have what you need. Or for a new unit, contact Fred @ British Auto Sport, 888-485-2277, or 905-678-6479.
Good luck & Cheers

Welcome...another ontarioite....we HAVE taken over this BBS:)

Crappy tire has them. Go for the sealed 7" round halogen unit made by GE. Or even Wally Mart.

Fred, if you want to move back to Ontario, go to top this page and click on customise....before you know it, you are back in Ontariario:)

Pete - Thanks for the contacts. Much appreciated.

Rick - That's what I was after. Thanks a bunch. And I'm back in Ontario thanks to you. Easiest move I've ever made.

Fred,
You might consider an upgrade: for about $100 canadian- you can buy a set of Bosch H4 halogens lamps. Much brighter lights -really improve visibility and make your car look sharp too.

Rick- I don't think we have all these new members from The Great White North. I think you sit in your office all day and think up monikers and locations.
