Triumph TR6 - tr6 roll bar
I am looking for a roll bar - specifically the twin hump (1 behind each headrest - like the one's used on the Miata) for my 75 TR6. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

TRGB Ltd in the UK supply twin roll bars, one for behind each seat. Never used TRGB myself, but have seen some for sale on ebay before. A couple of links below, picture of them in a car and link to the site. http://www.trgb.co.uk/specials/images/1.JPG http://www.trgb.co.uk/specials.htm Nick |

Gerry, Those roll bars look great and on a Miata they make sense. The uni-body construction would help support the mounting points if you ever took a roll. That same roll bar bolted to the TR6 sheet metal would be useless in a roll over. They must be attached to the frame if they are going to serve as protection. They do look nice though and would make great mounting points for a back draft screen. Chris |

That TR250 is about to test the crashability of the bars I believe. Sorry to be repetitive but I'm still looking for a single hoop behind the driver if anybody knows where to get one. I know it's only good for cosmetics but I really liked the look of the single bar I had in my TR4A. Bob 1976 - TR6 |

It looks like you could buy the pair, put one in your car, and sell the other on e-bay. JMHO though. |

Gene: I don't think it's a "pair". I believe they are connected lower down - likely a base plate and there would be some cutting required. I'm looking for the type that does not have the center brace connected at the top of the hoop - spoils the look. I know these bars are out there as as I had one and one contributor here posted a pic of his 6 last year with the chrome single hoop bar. There's got to be one out there somewhere for sale.I just keep posting once in a while hoping to hit one. Cheers, Bob 1976 - TR6 |

I'd try popping into a local race car shop and see if they couldn't bend and weld one up for you. It shouldn't be too expensive and you'd get exactly what you want. Tim |
