Hi Robb,

any new pics of the project? Where did you get the Alfins and if I could inquire ?$. I looked at some a while back, decided to hold off because unless autocrossing, do we gain any perceptable difference with the alfins..I know you guys ourt west drive hard!

Hi Bob,

the alfins were off ebay... $5.50 + 25 shipping from a 260z. I'm taking a risk and hoping that they are in usable condition. I will re bore the centers and re turn them on a brake lathe, bed blast and lightly lacquer to finish.

The car tub and hard top have the base coat on them and await the clear coat. Some more work has been completed on the chassis but all in all I am 6 months behind where I had hoped to be now. My 'new' bonnet was folded during shipping and I am in dispute with the shipper at this time... they have not been reasonable to this date.... beware of Forward Air...!

I am looking for another pair of seat tilt levers with good chrome... got any you might like to sell? Mine are rather pitted. The newly recovered seats are great non the less.

So that about sums up where this project is at...

Thanks for asking, Rob

For those interested... here are a few pics taken today as we built some TR6 emblems to fit the Konig Rewinds on the car. There are a few video clips showing the parts being cut out of powder coated aluminum. If you look closly , the alfin drake drums off of ebay are now on the car too..... bead blasted, returned on brake lathe, centerhole bored out to 2.745" to fit our cars, then clearcoated in high heat engine enamel. Also, one pic of my tub that was painted out this past weekend.... at long last!

OK ... it seems you have to cut and paste this address into your address bar to get to the pictures. Any one else out there with pictures of their project?

This is my first attempt at pictures. A couple of shots of the body on my 250 just before its detached from the frame.

A bit of overkill on the bracing, but better safe than folded body!

Well, that did not work. I will give this one a try............
