A little remark. Put it on a thumb drive . Keep it on the puter and you can add stuff to it that way
DON KELLY

Good idea Don. I took my copy off of my PC to free up space and try to speed things up. Now the look-up process from CD is slow. Hopefully, the thumb drive is quicker on retrieval.

Ken

PS. I thought Rick C was the keeper / distributor of CDII.

Ok Guys

Bob is the next province.

I can not take all the blame for CDII.
I am having trouble with this idea of thumb drives.
I mean like I only have a 100 GB drive and my copy of CDII with extras is on my HD. I like fast access.

OK on CDII+ hang tight ... I want the blue book.

What's wrong with thumb drives . Heck of a lot fast than a CD drive.
DON KELLY

I agree Don. The CD (actually a DVD because of file size) is just a means of it getting from one guy to another. What I was saying is; I put my file onto my hard drive. It does not take up that much room. I think a HD is faster than a thumb drive. Granted at my brains' speed, It probably would not make any difference to me.

When CDI and II first came out I paid $80.00 for 1GB thumb drive. Now, around 30 bucks for a 8GB.

The problem with it on the hard drive. It eats room and if it crashes your toast. Unless you have an automatic pack up to a thumb drive.
DON KELLY

Don... you mention back-up.

I bought a 160 GIG portable hard drive by Seagate for less than $100 and Bob's your uncle... I've got automatic back up. When I travel with my laptop I put the portable hard drive into a fire proof safe which can save me should my old laptop die or someone steals it.

Not exactly TR6 material but germane to part of this discussion.

I recently purchased a 16 G thumb drive for about $70 USD. It's water proof to about 3 atmospheres!! It holds all that I ever need to have portable.
