Triumph TR6 - Wheel Paint

Can anybody tell me the official paint colour or paint code to redoe the wheels on my 1976 TR6? As well is there any problem painting the plastic centers of the wheel along with the steel rim?

Thanks
Dave

Dave--I don't know the official BL paint code, but I used argent on my steel wheels and black center caps. Although I have since replaced those wheels with alloys, the paint job turned out great. With the center caps, make sure you rough up the surface with sandpaper followed by an application of primer before the top coat is applied.

You might consider trying the NEW paints specifically designed to paint plastic for the center caps....not sure if you can get grey or black though.
If you use regular semi-gloss paint, make sure you allow paint to thoroughly dry before second application. I did not and the drying agent in the paint attacked the plastic...had to file all 4 caps under the big "G"!

Good day!
I used the grey wheel paint as supplied by Moss, on both the wheels and caps ('74s caps are grey). It's the correct color and looks great, even after 3 seasons.

David,
I found a great match at Canadian Tire...I'll have to go digging but I'm sure I have the paint can # somewhere in the basement.
I had my wheels powder coated and the paint for the centre hubs matched perfectly

Have them powder coated and use a polishing wheel on the centers . Both turn out great!
