The VTO LeMans looks to be a reproduction of the old American Racing LeMans wheel and the Retro 4 looks to a reproduction of the American Racing Libre wheel. I have a set of 15 x 6 Libre wheels left over from a TR-4A.

The ones I'd really like to see either com back into production or be reproed are the old Cosmic MKII (?) wheels. I have two good ones, one repairable one and one that is beyond repair. The alloys used on the Lotus Europas were probably made by Cosmic because they look dead on. Any way, a Cosmic Wheel and not of the Cream or Donovan variety...

steve where in georga are you i/m in rome, jim
jw nolen

Your right Steve. I think they had to get an OK to use the name and they had to OK the design
Don Kelly

Steve, are you familiar with Hap? He's in your part of the county,South anyway!
Don Kelly

Don,

Can't say that I am, but I do get up to Greenville from time to time. There's another VTO dealer that has a TR-6 that I met at The Mitty this year. He seemed especially interested in brake modifications. More on that in another thread...

jw,

I'm in Marietta, about 4 miles driving distance/2 miles straight line to the northeast from the Big Chicken.
SteveP1

Steve , he's more than a dealer. He kind of responsible (for lack of a better term) for the whole deal
Don Kelly

cool, if i can't find the big chicken, i don't need to leave the house. what year is your tr, 69 here
jw nolen

Don,

I see, I was completely unaware. What do they mean slow of mind???

jw,

Dare I answer that question? It's one of those odd ball 70/71 cars. From an official/legalistic standpoint it is a 71 even though the build date would nominally make it a 70. There was not a clean break between those two model years and there are cars listed on the with Triumph affiliated groups with higher serial numbers that are 70 models and a very few with lower serial numbers that are 71 models.
SteveP1

don't you just love those quirky british? i'm just glad mine was built before the metric switch, and after the whitworth bolts.
jw nolen

If I remember right, Steve's car is a couple hundred below mine
