Doug,
I thought A & E was good, but one of the local gearheads sez Venolia. Prices are very competitive.

How 'bout that??? I called and talked to them some time ago, and they have all the info for TR6 pistons.

Don,
Looks like you may have to make some repairs. Wanna borrow some all purpose adhesive. Works very well on glass and other fragile objects:-)

I'm making some progress. Did PC one wheel (the spare) to test Argent Silver, but I was not too pleased with the outcome so then Eastwood, bless their heart, told me to topcoat with clear. Heat 'er up to 450F and soak for about 39 minutes or so, then jerk the sucker out of the oven, dust it lightly with clear coat powder and then fire for 20-25 minutes at about 325F. Haven't tried that yet, but did paint the inside of the rim and the back side with POR-15 Silver. Should bake on good at 450F for 30 minutes!!

Trying to get the engine thingie straightened out now. Steve Pike, my ever ready expert resource is helping me through the difficult parts like trying to figure out what the hell I'm doing!!! Stay tuned. The adventure continues.

Rod, talked to Venolia. They'd have to custom make the pistons I need and they'd be forged. BPNW has advised VERY strongly to avoid forged pistons except for race applications. What'd I know?? I'm looking for the best available, reasonably affordable of course. I'm back to TRF for AE cast OEM stuff. Quite expensive compared to many others, but Dave Hagenbuch tells me the cheaper ones are made in India. Anyway, TRF is back ordered for 0.20 over so while I'm waiting, anyone have any better suggestions for a top notch piston?

I would have liked to have gone back standard, but the cylinders are a bit over (0.0005-0.0015); about what I'd expect the ring wear allowance to be. Over boring gets new metal, uniform size and a bit of pep in the pedal, I think. Damn, this thing's getting pricey!! Somebody feel sorry for me!!
