Triumph TR6 - Who is up for the Portland ABFM?

It's Labor Day and time for the ABFM at PIR. Great cars with a weekend of historic racing and a chance to meet the guys who advertise at the top of the page.

Don,
I'll be there....why don't you bring David Johnston with you! Hey Barry P, are you coming up? Pick a time, and let's meet at the TR6 row. Where else would we meet...well there is the Hooters tent.....

I'll be there Sat & Sun. Last year I didn't see Rod on Sun. David has some excuse about going to Germany or Some such non-significant event.Would enjoy seeing Ignatius there, but haven't heard. Hopefully it will be cooler than last year.

As Don reported I'm headed to the Stuttgart area and won't be able to attend the Portland event. I'm going to help
an old friend, who's just retired from Porsche , who will be driving a TR4 (!) in a 6 hour endurance race at Spa. It will be the first time I've been back to that track since the motorcycle GP race in 1984.
Should be lot's of fun. Their team has been doing very well -- "With our racing TR 4 we had good luck in the last race in june, we came in second in class after a porsche 904, but before all the 2 liter porsche 911's." (!!!)-- from his last e-mail.
In their first race of the year (May) they
retired when their flywheel sheared off !! (No ARP bolts, I guess. They "assumed"
the previous owner/racer had built the engine properly. They've repaired it and have had no reliability problems since- with 160 hp.) (Pounding on wood)
I'm happy to report that my supercharged TR6 (with ARP bolts) is running great with 2300 miles driven since completion. I've got a dyno appointment tomorrow morning and will report to the list.
