Triumph TR6 - wiper problem
I'm having a problem with my wipers, I have power going in to the wiper motor, but there no power going into the switch or coming from the switch. I have a new switch, any ideas? My car is a 1970 tr-6 |

Are the correct wires hooked up. Steve you got a good Schematic? |
DON KELLY |
Uh duh...you got a bad switch!!! Or as Don says, a bad connection!! Check applicable grounds. First think to check on a LBC wired with Lucas...check the grounds. db |

Doug, Didn't he say he aint got no juice at the switch. Steve please clarify your statement . There should be 1 green wires at the switch that has HOT switched power. |
DON KELLY |
Steve-The problem may be that the replacement switches aren't wired like the originals. The off position will not be in the middle. Mine is wired like this, looking at the back of the switch: Top right-blue with light green stripe. Center left-green. Bottom left-red with light green stripe. Bottom right-brown with light green stripe. This puts the off position at the top, low in center, and high at the bottom. Berry |

Don, Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I have power from the green wire going into the wiper motor but there is not power from the green wire going into the wire switch. Steve |

That means the wire that is going into the switch is not connected somewhere. Originally it came from the gauge thingy that the fuel and something else hooks into. |
DON KELLY |
There are actually 2 green power wires involved with the wiper motor. One runs from the voltage stabilizer to the switch and another green wire that comes from the fuse box and goes to the wiper motor. It provides power to the wiper motor to park the wiper blades when the switch is turned off. Berry |

The one to the motor he has power to. It's the switch leg he has zip |
DON KELLY |
In looking closer at my Schematic that Don sent me,(Don,thank you) it has to be the connection at the voltage stabilizer behind or attached to the speedometer??? I'll check that next. Steve |
