MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - 3.5 Rover Rocker Covers
Where can I purchase 'Polished Alloy Rocker Covers' or any other engine (dress up) gear to suit 3.5 Rover. |

You can get polished SD1 covers from Rimmers, but the really killer look that I've seen is a set of P6 covers, powder coated in the color of your choice but with the raised ribbing/name polished. I don't believe P6 covers are still available new. The other great-looking setup is a set of Offenhauser polished covers -- I think if you use a 4bbl carb, there's some problem getting to the oil filler hole though. As far as other dress-up gear, I don't know what's out there ... I've painted things one by one with glossy epoxy paint (black or red) as I had 'em off the motor ... don't care for too much chrome, really. |

You can get replicas of the original MGB V8 rocker covers from Clive Wheatley - they look good in black and silver, but are quite pricey. Mike |

To Mike's point, the repro Wheatley covers are nice, but the breather tubes are, while perfect for the SU setup, in the wrong place if you run a 4bbl carb. The P6 covers will work better in that case. |

Kim, Try Triumphroverspares at 7 Magna Crt Lonsdale. Failing that you could try Vitesse developments in Melbourne....or go for mailorder from the states for the Offenhauser ones. The latter I have seen on a V8B and they look great. Stainzy |

Eurospares (I think that is the name of the company--UK based????) had some beautiful smooth valve covers for Rovers in their catalog from a few years back. I don't know who made them and I think that the company is no longer in business. I say this in the hopes that someone else may have seen these and knows the present source. |

I got an e-mail back from Shane Turner at Edlebrock's Technical Dept. today. He tells me that they don't make a finned valve cover for the Buick 215 head. I thought that Offenhauser's operation was bought by Edlebrock, am I mistaken? Anyhow, I'd like to get a pair of "Offy" type valve covers with the trademark, deep fins on them. Is that the style that D&D offer? |
