MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Accusump - oil pressure reservoir

Nigel, Sounds like interesting kit. I sometimes get a slight cold-start rattle which I really don't like at all. Have you found a supplier in UK?
How much are they?
The EWP® water circulation pump looks interesting too. Could this be the end of V8 cooling problems?
Demon Tweeks 300 pounds env.
Michel is correct Demon Tweeks.
I too have the "death rattle" on starting from cold if I don't remember to crank the engine for about 20 seconds with no choke - happily it won't start without choke when cold.
When time permits I must acquire and fit.
I don't have too much of a cooling problem, except in heavy vitrually stationery traffic and high ambient tempreatures.
I like the look of the EWP water circulation pump to continue to circulate water after the ignition has been switched off.
What I don't know is whether the flow rate is adequate, compared with the standard pump?
Has anyone used the EWP® water circulation pump - reports please?
I bought an EWP electric pump last year. Frankly, I couldn't find anywhere to fit it and so it still hasn't gone in. However, my cooling problem was sorted with the use of a high volume ally rad (I have a second one for sale as well).
By the way, I found the company to be extremely responsive. I thought needed an extra bend for fitting and they send me one FOC within days. Excellent.
There was a very extended discussion on this BBS on pumps and flow rates and so it will be in the archive.
The most interesting electric pump I found was the Mezier http://www.centuryperformance.com/detail.asp?Product_ID=MZE-WP125 which claims to provide very high flow and also leaves clear room between the block and the rad to fit a much more efficient puller fan.
This may be the way to go.
It is certainly an extremely neat solution. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is not thermostatically controlled so that it is up and running at full tilt from the word go.
I rather thought that the EWP intelligent controller might be the answer. This will vary speed of the pump in line with cooling requirements. However it is intended to work with the EWP waterpump alhthough I expect that it would work with any electrical item as it is probably just some type of rheostat I think.
I should add that I fitted a digital temp guage which is super-responsive and super-accurate. It put an end to trying to work out if I was viewing the temperature needle from quite the same angle as last time etc - y'all know what I mean, don't ya, boys.
