Guys, maybe we can do a group purchase on this one? =) |

I would be interesting to learn who this equipment is sold to and if they have plans to continue producing the complete engine. |

I am surprised that this equipment is not retooled to accept a new engine design. Perhaps new dedicated equipment is a better long term investment--which might mean that this equipment is old and tired. This is definitely state of the art equipment--I sell Caterpillar Marine Diesel engines for a living--the pics of the plant look much like the CAT plant--and believe me CAT is state of the art. |

I would wager that Ford is probably more interested in getting Land Rovers powered by Ford V8's than using a GM sourced engine! |

The Disco III's have Ford 5.4L V8's in them. (I think) Could someone easily re-tool this equipment and that would truly be the end of the Rover motor, or is this so specialized of stuff that it is made for the Rover motor, and it wouldn't be worth it to use it for anything else? Maybe someone could take it and start producing 5L Rovers 'straight off the line.' That'd be nice. =) |
