MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Bell housing bolt pattern for 3.5 and 215

Does anyone have the bolt pattern for the BOP 215 engine and the Rover 3.5 bellhousing to engine block bolts.?

So far as I can find it is not the same and is not the standard GM four bolt either.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks , Pete.

I can get a Rover 3.5 for you, how do you want it expressed?

Wrong question, really, I meant from where to where do you want the measurements made. Never mind, I've done what I think will help, see the attached pic for the layout.

2-3 7.9
3-4 10.9
4-5 13.3

6-7 7.5
7-8 10.9
1-5 33.95
1-6 37.3
1-7 38.35
2-8 39.2
3-8 38.45
4-8 34.55

The bellhousing to engine pattern is the same for BOP 215 (not to be confused with the later standard BOP) and Rover. The transmission to bellhousing pattern is different.

The Rover bellhousing uses the Rover LT77 or the Triumph TR7/TR8 5 speed.

The BOP 215 bellhousing came in three configurations, 3 speed, 3 & 4 speed, and 4 speed bolt patterns. The two that have the 4 speed pattern will accommodate Muncie, T-10, Super T-10 4 speeds and GM T-5 5 speeds. D & D in Michigan makes an adapter plate that will bolt a Ford T-5 to the 3 speed bellhousing.
