MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Brake Disks??
Are the MGB brake disks the same as the V8's? I checked the dimensions of the B and the V8 spec's on the following website: http://www.mgcars.org.uk/MGB/mgbgtv8spec.html http://www.mgcars.org.uk/MGB/mgbspec.html and they appear to be the same size, but are they the same? I.e. can I replace my front disks with a standard set of MGB brake disks? Thanks Andy |

Nope, BV8 dics are thicker. |

Thanks Jake, I thought they were different. Does anyone know a good (cheap?) source for replacement disks? Andy |
A Butterworth |
brembo rotor at www.cambridgemotorsport.co.uk, eleven £ env. regards. |
michel |
If that is 11 quid each that is cheap, my regular V8 supplier is showing 69 quid per pair. |
Paul Hunt |
excuse me, the prices increased, brembo for MGB 19.95£ each, for V8 36.92£ each. regards. |

Andy, If looking for V8 discs, try Peugeots 604 discs. Cheaper & good availability. I could even order them that way, x-drilled and perfect fit. If you want to, I can send you details. Frank |

A plain vented disc for B is £25 each and drilled £38, just need diff calipers. Paul |

From where Paul? |
J Smith |
These are vented (270x24) for use with Wilwood or adapted other calipers, but should also be available from Cambridge Motorsport but not checked price http://www.raldes.co.uk/ Paul |
