What is the cost just for attending (no car) |

re: What is the cost just for attending (no car) This is just like any other event...you will learn a hell of a lot...and $40 is cheap "tuition" to pay! The UML event coinsides... rick |

Steve, Thank you for all your work!!!! Really looking forward to seeing everyone again. I think Sue is packed already!! Kurt |
Kurt Schley |
Steve, Great News ! Can't wait to see everyone again. See you all there. Pete |
Pete Mantell |
I'll be there! Already sent in my money. Anyone want me to bring a wiring kit? I'm going back into production for another small run. |
Dan Masters |
Looks like I'll be able to make the V-8 deal this year (last one was -uh 2000? Moving to the burbs of Detroit, I understand rapido raipds are just a few hours by car. Sadly, all MG stuff will still 'B' in SoCal- doesn't look like I'll have time to start moving house until I've been in Michigan for 4 or 5 months |

Steve, Sounds like a great event, my regristration was sent in a month ago. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Bernie |
Bernie Posey |
Greg, Where in the burbs are you moving to? I'm on the west side of Metro Detroit in Canton. Justin |

We're looking forward to seeing everyone again. My check and registration will go out in tomorrows mail. $40.00 well spent. Al |

Justin New job is in Auburn Hills. Wife and I are driving out next week. Don't know where I'll end up parking. I'm assuming Auburn Hills, Livonia, Farmington, or maybe go alittle further north in Oakland County. Don't really know much about the lay of the land yet. I'll have a couple months to figure it out |

Show of hands.....how many Fords will be in attendance? Steve,Pete,Gil,myself that I know of,how many do I not know of? Dale |
Dale |
Dale, should we call this the "Ford show" or the Purple car show? steve |
Steve Carrick |
If I trailer my GT up (highly unlikely), I could add to the purple count! Work is proceedingly (albeit slowly) on it... but I do have a time frame posted in the garage...and IF all goes well (and that's a BIG IF), Grand Rapids may be the "maiden voyage" for the GT. I have <most> of the parts needed, Pete Mantell has been prodding me weekly (sounds kinky, but it's not), all I need is a little time! rick |

<<Show of hands.....how many Fords will be in attendance?>> I was hoping that I would be part of the Blue Oval count for this year but now it looks like Terra Haute 2005. Everything is essentially ready for the swap but with good weather upon us, I didn't want to jeopardize not having anything to drive to Grand Rapids. The Ford 8.8 (3.27) disc braked posi rear axle is under the car and operational, so that it a major part of the Ford conversion completed. So with that scenario, (and if my HTOB doesn't crap out like last year), it looks like the Olds 215 engine will be called upon to handle a few more burnouts this year and I'll be looking forward to rekindling friendships and tipping the odd pint with the V8 crowd in Grand Rapids. |

I guess I'll limp up that way once again in the sloooowest MGB V8 ever, sporting a cracked windshield and peeling paint. Between Scouts, Little League Baseball, & helping my Dad get his '63 B back on the road I just can't seem to get anything done on my car. And my wife wants to be driving the TF by next Summer. Hah! I am looking forward to seeing every one else's projects and and visiting with my V8 Fraternity Brothers (& Sisters). Thanks for all your efforts, Steve. I hope you get Barney put back together! |
Carl |
re: tipping the odd pint with the V8 crowd in Grand Rapids. Graham! We attempt not to tip any pints (let alone the odd pints) as that would be a complete waste of good beverage! However, we welcome "odd pints" as we are a curious (and spurious) bunch and like to broaden our horizons when it comes to new mixtures of barley and hops! rick |
rick ingram |
Rick, Spoken like a true apothecary .....and a spurious one at that! Perhaps I should have said "tipping a pint with an odd V8 crowd....." |
Graham Creswick |
I can't believe Mr. Spurious uttered the word "trailer". Better hope Ian doesn't get wind of this! :) |
Carl |
re: I can't believe Mr. Spurious uttered the word "trailer". Better hope Ian doesn't get wind of this! :) Yes, Carl...It was a VERY difficult word for me to type....the ONLY time one of my MGs will be found on a trailer is it's broken (or not yet assembled!) I'm not too concerned about Pender....he needs me as his "Diplomatic Advisor"...and won't want to "allienate" me! ;-) rick |
