And your car will be there?

We are still working on a number of V6 projects that should be there....

BMC Brian McCullough

I will have a car there.

:)
rick ingram

Saturns, Toyotas and GMC pickups only sorta count.

Let hope I get my car out there. Its been about 6 years or MORE since I had any of my cars road worthy.I no have a license plate for my MGB and its mostly together. Doing the dash now as posted elsewhere.

Fifty-Three Days left guys!!

BMC Brian McCullough

Sorry, Ford products don't count. I'm not sure why, but I am sure they don't count. ;-)

-BMC.

(says the guy who's brother is going to be there in a Porsche!)
BMC Brian McCullough

Actually, it the enthusiasts in attendance who count!

:)

In all likelyhood, I will have my 300ZX.

rick ingram

No problems. I am pushing hard to get my car there along with 2 other V^ B's in the shop not to mention an XK120 modified (will not be in attendance) and a few others. Trying is the word on my car... Its gonna be close but at least I have a licence plate for it and most of the parts. Working on wiring, dashboard and interior now. (The other cars have completely different amounts and types of work...)

Sleep? Who needs sleep. My computer time is when I rest! :-)

Same here...

Another V6 guy finally sending in money. Oh, and paying for my Brother too. He had to outdo me with that LS1 powered Porsche. To paraphrase the Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy - Thats 10,000 points for power but minus several million for style. ;-)

Now that I have a whopping 200+ miles on my car, I'll be driving it to the meet... If all else fails, we'll stick it on the trailer. See you all there!

************

I made that comment about my V8 in 2005 and received a lot of flack from a couple of V6ers.

I'll refrain from reciprocty.

:) :) :)

Mantell, Kirkman, and I will be leaving central Illinois about 0900 CDT on Sunday for an afternoon arrival in Port Washington.

Many paraticipants arrived last night...it's going to be a great event!

Most of us went to a pub downtown last night for supper...burgers/cheese curds/Guinness.

And then the parking lot party began....

Today will bring tech sessions with Jim Blackwood and the BADASS big block Buick conversion; a car weigh in with Pete Mantell; valve cover racing with Bill Young; and the Coup de Gras...a visit to Road America and an on-track tour this afternoon.

Pictures and more verbiage later....

7/14/08
Today's tech sessions included a walking tour of BADASS, the big block buick, as well as a mini-work session on it.

Off to Road America this afternoon where we watched the Porsche club have a track day; got a walking tour of the Control Room, the Press Room, and out onto the flag catwalk at the start/finish line. We watched a B-17 fly over the track as well!

We were all offered the opportunity to drive the 4.08 (?) mile circuit...albeit behind a pace car...a very slooooooooooow pace car. (But it was still worth it!).

THen off to the village of Elkhart Lake and a visit to Siebkens Bar.

Tonight was a pizza/beer/pop party in the parking lot hosted by Ted Lathrop of Fast Cars, Inc...followed by an organizational meeting for Project BADASS.

More later!

Tomorrow we're headed over to the EAA museum near Oshkosh....then more tire kicking and lie swapping.

Spuriites invade Siebkens:

FR: Dave "Big Daddy" Kirkman, Ted "Cross Member" Lathrop, Steve "Barney" Carrick

MR: Mike "El Pez" Maloney, Rick "Pender Diplomatic Advsor" Ingram, Richard "Fibre" Moor

BR: Carl "Earl of WTO" Floyd, Graham "Connoisseur of Pigs & Thrupennies" Creswick, Pete "Bait" Mantell, Max "Flounder" Fulton

A good time was had by all.

rick ingram

Today (Wednesday) saw autocross action in the hotel parking lot. A tight course kept speeds down...and Carl Floyd retained his crown as Autocross King.

Tech sessions this afternoon provided by Pete Mantell (brakes); Bill Guzman (brakes and four-link rear end; and Steve Carrick (who announced that he will be taking on the task of providing the wiring harnesses of Advance Autowire)

An early dinner with raffles and an auction was a new concept and was well received.

Another British V8 draws to a close...much too early!

Kudos to Paul and Mary Schils for a job well done!
