Paul, I haven't had time to look at all the information, but I believe that what you need you can find at MG engine conversions http://www.mgcars.org.uk/v8_conversions/ There is a lot of really good information on the V8 installation along with links to photos. Hope this helps. |

Paul...A lot of the modification you'll make depend upon the engine you are planning on using. Another really good source of info is Roger Powell's book "How To Give Your MGB V8 Power". The third edition has just been released and is available through Amazon.com. rick |

Paul, I can send you an email link to photos of my early chrome bumper modification, if you would care to see them. reply via my email address listed. cj |

Rick is experiencing another senior moment - Roger Williams, of course, is the author of the "How to " series of V8 conversion books.....and is expected to be signing copies of his new third edition at the 2006 British conversions meet in June. |

Yes...a major senior moment...it's been a very hectic week.... <sigh> rick |

Paul- Need your e-mail address. I have pictures of a 1973 MGBGT converted. I welded in a section of the bulkhead from a rubber bumper car, used a rubber bumper rack and shortened the shaft, so no extra U-joint was required. It all clears a Buick 300, using RV8 style headers. This engine is a bit taller & wider than the 215 or Rover engines, so you should have plenty of room. |

First...Roger Powell is an ex-University of Ilinois basketball player. Second...what in the hell does the type of engine have to do with a bumper conversion...unless, of course, one is planning on installing a marine I/O. Apparently NONE of my nerve synapses were firing in the cerebrum this morning. As I said...it's been a hectic week. :-) rki |

Rick- You really need different drugs, or more of what you were using. Don't worry, the week isn't over yet. |
jim Stuart |
Well, Jim....I certainly have a plethora of drugs from which to choose! :-) rick |

Common guys, give Rick a break. He's obviously still recovering from the Missouri Endurance Rally. Seems like 'Roger' is the name to have if you are a "V8 conversion expert". The information on the link I posted is by Roger Parker. Did you take a look at that Paul? |
Bill Young |
The British V8 Newletter back issues are a great source of info. Try looking at Robert Milk's car in this issue: http://www.britishv8.org/may2003.pdf Here's the page with some of the other back issues: http://www.britishv8.org/back.htm |

Rick, I hihgly recommned for you to go see Dr. Jack Daniels. Dr. Daniels could help your hecticnaties. No drugs just drink liquids. |
Bill Guzman |
But Bill...I make my living through chemistry (pharmaceuticals)! rick |

Then of all people Rick, you should know what those drugs can do to you. Could I recommend some good homeopathic remedies? See, there's this little mushroom... Jim |
Jim Blackwood |
Thanks guys, I ordered the new Roger Parker book 4 weeks ago, have not seen yet, Thanks for the links and pic. offers. I will e-mail Jim and Chris. Paul |
