Interesting,

And not as expensive as repro items, and I have a strong suspicion I know who'se bid £20 in Doncaster !.

Ugly! I mean I guess the valve covers are OK but that air cleaner lid has _gotta_ go. It looks positively third-world: just the kind of thing that gives "custom" cars a shady, ungenteel reputation. The Rover P6 covers still seem like by far the most attractive solution to me (the MGBGTV8 covers are of course fine, but their breather fittings are in the wrong place for 4bbl carbs ...)

Ted,

I run 'em. Like Dan LaGrou said "Pull the tubes, tap threads, & install 90 degree fittings".

I have P6 covers on my conversion, they are nicer than the SD1 covers, same style as the MG ones.....and let's be fair it is a Rover engine not an MG one.

I agree with the early rover cover sentiment, the only reason that I am running the MG V8 covers is because I have an original intake and air cleaner setup, so the breather tubes and bracket lugs at the top are necessary for my car.

I have a pair or the V8 MGB valvle covers. One of these have the black paint coming off. This looks like the cover was not cleaned prior to the powder coating. I have quite a few litle discrepancies on the conversation to a V8. This was performed by a fellow in central Ohio who does this. I would not sugest anyone have this conversation be done by this individual. If and when you have a problem he will not be helpful. I will make a list of all of the problems that I have had and if anyone is interested contact me at Leroycook301@cs.com
