It was pulled early for some reason. It was on for 2 of the 8 days listed. I suspect someone bought it outright. Paul |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34202&item=2488910774&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW its still there. it does look like it runs off one bank of cylinders but there might be a connector tube from one manifold missing. |

The one manifold does look a little odd in the photo, but it is set up so the other manifold feeds into the rear of it. Why else would there be a connection there? I've got a set of them out in the shop with my old turbo parts. I would think it'd bring a pretty good price as it's nearly complete other than the air cleaner and possibly the oil return pipe. I nearly sold that bunch of parts for $400 a couple years ago. The guys who are restoring F85's are fond of things like that. Jim |

My father-in-law had a Jetfire Olds back in the day, (67-68). I recall him having to add alcohol and water to an anti-detination injector bottle. When the fluid got low a float switch prevented the engine from stating. The static compression was so high, the turbo could only add a handful of pounds of boost and the turbo version was rated just 15 ponies over the non-turbo engine. Few mechanics had any idea how to work on it. In 1963, I took driver's education highschool. A brand new Olds F85 (not turbo), was my favorite of the school's 4-car-fleet. But I bought a very neglected Simca Aronde for my first car. It cost me about 3 hours work/repair for each hour of driving. After 1 year of bleeding, suffering & cursing (in & at the French).. I traded it for a 57 Chevy. M |
