MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - finding a flow-tec oil pump base cheap

does anyone know where I can get a flow-tec oil pump base for a good price or at all in the US. I have found one from MGOC for $150 UDS but wanted to know if there are any other guys selling them.
Evan

They cost us around $300AU (after conversion) over here - highway robbery! I have seen an alternative (different brand but very similar) in the states that was marginally cheaper - I have the details at work I think and will check on Monday.

Clives cost me 75 pounds a couple of years back. Add 20 pounds for postage. The filter base was 15 pounds. He'll also sell you hoses.
MGBee hive are reputed to be cheaper, (and don't export to Australia!)
Peter

Clives put his prices up a bit I see.
There's a guy Adelaide in South Australia, AA Automotive, Adrian Ackurst, or possibly Triumph and Rover spares was selling them for $210 (also a few years ago)
Peter

Peter,
They are currently $290AUD on the Triumph Rover Spares website. Together with water pumps @ $220AUD!

He was around $200, looks like the flowtech people have put their prices up.
That pumps a bit pricey, there's a range rover place out at Lilydale who sold me a brand new replacement for under $150. Rangie spares I think, anyway the only one in Lilydale.
Peter

By the time we pay for shipping and the exchange rate (weak dollar right now) it's not worth all the hassle. Pony up evan, you're paying $200.00 for this one. =)

Evan,
Found the "mocal" base I'd seen before at last!
Looks like similar cost at $160 US.

Not exactly sure if it suits RHD MGB conversions over here though due to the angle of the hose take-offs.

Try cutting and pasting the following if the link doesn't work:

Mocal is a division of Think Automotive Group Ltd. Based in the U.K. They don't seem to have any distributors in the states (i.e. local auto shops) so TSI is the best way to go. You can also buy the pump head directly on their website for £84.00 (roughly) which converts to $147.00 US.Don't forget shipping and duties!

Food for thought,
