MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - gas tank for EFi V8 MGB's

EFi V8 persons,
Does anyone know of where a gas tank can be purchased in the USA for the fuel injection set up? And would this gas tank bolt right up, and would the company chare a core or want the stock gas tank back? Thanks in advance.

If you have a Rover Dealer close by, you could consider using an RV8 tank which has all the necessary plumbing and some added features incorperating the 'greener' evaporative loss fuel system used in the RV8 and other Rover cars of the age. The part no of the tank is ZKC 5014 and it fits straight to an MGB, despite requiring 3 spacer tubes which fit between the tank and the body creating extra space to cater for the pipework associated with the return feed and the evaporative loss.

But you could put a return line into your current tank - the bulkhead fitting are very widely used throughout the automotive industry - cost about $10 US - size 12mm

Of course you might prefer to print more money

Good luck !

As mentioned you could use your original tank. To do this you will need to purge your existing tank completely before welding to it the fittings for the return pipe and the swirl pot which you could source from a scrap Efi tank.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I called my local Rover dealer, ane they don't have anything for me yet. Most likely by Monday, if they can get anything at all.
I was just a little scared to weld onto the original gas tank. I don't want to blow myself up before I get to drive my V8 conversion!!
So if anything I was going to hire it done.
Thanks again,

I beliieve it was Roger who thought this one up: Use an early tank with the fitting in the tank itself. Add to this a late model sensing unit which also has a fuel fitting. Voila; two lines into the bottom of the tank. No scary welding. This will be my plan when I get to that stage.
