Bill, Will this kit work in a 1964 MGB with out welding or cutting. Is there any set back to the fire wall, and does my original heater stay? What about cooling? Dennis |

Bill, kit looks good. Do you have some more specs available ? Looking for weight distribution, body mods for CB's, donor car lists etc.. |

Bill, how low do you have the engine mounted?I'm using the front wheel drive oil pan(sits engine 11/2 in lower)and even cut the corners off the fire wall(like for a V8)and even then I had to use a MGC hood to clear the multiport injection setup. Are you referring to the later alluminum-headed W-engine fuel injection setup?Even with all that work I still had to flip the throttle body upside-down so that the IAC motor would not hit the hood. The headers look like the would work for my install, but I would need to add a provision for a fitting for both the EGR tube and oxygen sensor,so I would need a pair in bare steel then would just get them Jet-Hot-Coated after the mods. How much do you want for just the headers? Dave, the engine sits as low as possible, if any lower the alignment with the trans and rear axle would be off. |

Sorry the wrong key. The trans alignment and rear axle are critical. The front vibration damper sits at 1/4 inch from cross member, The front portion of the pan sits about 1/4 inch from crossmember. From the base of the two barrel manifold (stock) to the hood it measures 5 1/2 inches and 6 1/2 from the rear of manifold. The headers are made per sets and sell for $260. They are made of heavy-duty tubing with 1/4-inch flanges. Sean, the engine sets well behind the center of the front axle. Only three mods are necessary. 1. The driver side next to the steering column need to be dress about 1/4 inch to clear the header flange, 2 trans tunnel next to the oil check needs to be dress about 1/4 inch, 3. Cut motor mount towers and install engine. Kit is design for the engine to be install with the headers, starter carb, etc. A Hydraulic release bearing has to be used. Cooling; the stock radiator can be use providing the intake and pump supply water necks are changed to the V6 size. The original heater stays put. Hope this helps Sean. R/Bill |

Looks pretty nice! I have a 73 B with a 4.3 v6 and 6 speed trans. I put about 10k miles on it and now have it back in the garage for some performance upgrades! I'm currently Working on a 3.1 w/t5 trans right now for my 80. Looking forward to the small v6 project, should be fun. Love to see your car sometime! |

I am considering using the 6 speed is the bellhousing different? The 4.3 is a great performer. R/Bill |
