MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Heaters
For inside the car what is available for someone in a cold climate? |

Older GMC Suburbans from around the 80's had a heater that ran on the engine's coolant that would sit in the back of them, I believe. But how you would feel about having to plumb one of these into your car I wouldn't know. They did have a fan and all that built into them already though, but they were a little on the big side. Just a thought. Anthony |

Warm socks, gloves & ski cap are a big help :) |

A V8 under the bonnet will do the trick! |

It is difficult to imagine that you could possibly have a problem with being cold in an MGB fitted with a V8. If this is really true then I am sure that many people would like to know the secret - please. |

A remote heater unit can be purchased from JC Whitney. They have small box units that are like the ones used in the early MGTDs. It may fit on the rear shelf. Kelly |

Luke, I have to assume you have removed the stock heater? Maybe I am lucky but my heater has always spit out good heat. both with 4cyl and V87. Now it will melt my feet if I turn in on feet only for any period of time. I have a pretty leaky top and it defniitely still make a big difference. Should be nice and toasty with the hardtop next winter!! If you have stock unit, I would say get it flushed and/or a new one. Might want to double check flow directions 1st though, make sure it is flowing as designed.. |

Try it with a warm air heater as they are offered for motoryachts and sailboats. Just contact a chandlery for more info. Will fit into the boot and work on normal petrol. Common brands are EBERSPAECHER or WEBASTO. |

I saw a ceramic electric heater in an auto shop the other day. This would prove instant heat for your feet that would be a real treat. (I should be a poet). |
