MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Hot Rod Magazine's Power Tour
Our club project car, a 1968 MGB/GT with a Buick 455 V8, a BW T5 transmission, and a Jaguar IRS rear suspension has successfully complete this year's Power Tour. The car was driven by seven different members from Detroit, MI to Arlington, TX. Pete Mantell and I were responsible for the Muskegon, MI to Champaign, IL leg as well as the Champaign, IL to Madison, IL (Saint Louis) leg. We had a blast; the car drew crowds wherever it was parked; and more importantly, it performed up to and exceeded our expectations. Next appearance of the B.A.D.A.S.S. (British-American Deviant Automotive Sportscar Society) Roadmaster will be at the UML Summer Party in Grand Rapids, MI. ![]() |
