Worked for me. Good looking work. Thanks for sharing. |

Hi Liam, you did a good job, now enjoy your V8 whenever you can. Safety Fast! Ralph |

Liam Congratulations on a job well done, now just enjoy driving it. Kevin |

Thanks for the kind comments, I feel compelled to point out that the people on this group built much of my car. I just followed their orders. Anyway, I was feeling chuffed with myself this afternoon, I thought that now the job is done I would write down 2 or 3 jobs that need finishing so I wouldn't forget. I started the list, and it ended up with 34 things on it, and I have just thought of another. Looks like the 4.6 conversion will have to wait! It's like a drug. Regards all, Liam |

Cracking Job Liam, Looking forward to our paths crossing sometime. |

Beautiful work, Liam. Now get out there and drive! You guys on that side of the pond have got a really nice-looking dash. Wish I could get that in a LHD. Cheers Simon |

Looks great Liam! Of course it's not really "done" until you submit your photos and "How It Was Done" write-up to The British V8 Newsletter. Here's the template: http://www.britishv8.org/How-It-Was-Done.doc Seventeen write-ups appeared in the most recent issue: http://www.britishv8.org/British-V8-Current-Issue.htm Cheers! |

Liam, the car looks real good. Sounds like you have enough to keep you occupied for awhile, but it's great that you can enjoy driving the car now. Simon, that looks like the '68 dash with some minor changes. Jim |

Simon, this type of dash was typical for cars exported to the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland up to 1973/1974. They are all LHD and have exactly the same desigen and look like those used up to 1967/1968 on every LHD MG B although the old ones had been without the vents. Some times they are offered at eBay and on club pages. Ralph |

Liam, Can you attach a pick on the BBS, please? I cannot get to your link. Thank you, JB |

Very nice indeed, Now that you are finished you'll have time to start on a roadster conversion! The taller oil filler is a good idea, I'll go get one I think. Early '80s range rover? The red piping on the seats looks nice as well. They (seat covers) appear reasonable quality, where did you get them? |
Peter |
Hi Peter The filler came with the rocker cover - 1985 SD1. I just swapped them over. No clearance issues. The seat covers were nice quality, I got them from ebay of all places, I have had a hunt through my feedback but can't locate the seller as it wasa while ago. They were pretty good quality but I had to enlist the help of a local upholsterer chap to get the front seats done , the back I did myself, they were OK. I may still have the receipt somewhere if I do I'll let you know. JB from Iraq - photos attached. Liam ![]() |
