MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - PORTLAND ABFM

For those of you out here in the Pacific NW, I wanted to remind you all that the 26th annual Portland All British Field Meet is coming up quickly. This even will be held at Portland International Raceway on Aug 30 - Sept 1st. While there is not a specific V8 class, I am hoping we can get enough V8's in attendance to persuade them to have one for the future. Camping will be available for those interested and I believe they will be having a Slallom competition as well.

Details available here: http://www.abfm-pdx.com/

Anyone else planning to go??
Larry Embrey

Romney, Romney, Romney,
You try and teach fellow MGer's something and they just don't listen!! :-P Just kidding.

In all seriousness though, My car is an absolute hideous mess. I have alum patch panels pop riveted on each side rockers by a PO, my paint is all blotchy and faded. My interior is nothing but the seats, 2 rubber floormats and a $25 roll of Lowes foil/bubble-core insulation. The point is to get these cars out and being seen. Please bring her out.. You and I can sit our little works in progress off to one side, I will even save you a spot!!

Please come out so I have some company in the "Work-in-progress" area!??!?? Pretty please!??
Larry Embrey

Sadly, due to some last minute changes, I will be unable to attend the show. If anyone can take pictues of any V8's they see it would be appreciated. I really wanted to go, but Family obligations simply do not mix with the show/track situation this year.
Larry Embrey

Larry,
Sorry to hear that. How dare other things get in the way of our hobbies!! Seriously, I'll try to take a few snapshots for ya. If there's anything in particular you'd like them to focus on, email me at home and I'll try to accomodate. Since this year they feature the old 6 cyl Jag engine, maybe they'll have some available cheap at the swapmeet, ha, ha.

Well, I am still debating, but I strongly doubt I will go.. Was suposed to be a family outing etc.. can't get a 5yr old to sleep with racecars roaring around.. Though I would be one of those cars I am sure, which is why I am still torn.. Just have to see how things go Wed at Pacific Raceways..
