MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Radiator top Hose
Nissan Pintara RWD '86-'89 Grommet GR206 MACKAY CHI564 OEM 2150154500 GATES 05-0598 This radiator hose actually fits better than the RV8 one and costs $15. Compared to about $60. Its longer than the RV8 one which suits my application of radiator far forward and engine far back perfectly. infact I had to cut about one inch off the end. |

Peter, Any pics of the hose on the car? |

'fraid not. It fits around the distributor a little more neatly and maintains a lower line than the RV8 one. And as I said is longer by about 5 or 6 inches at the radiator end. Its a tight fit at the theromosat end but went on easily enough. I was using an RV8 hose with a 3 or 4 inch bit attached to the end to get the lenght (which looked crappy) and it (top of the hose) would just rub against the bonnet cross brace. I always suspected the RV8 hose was actually a cut down range rover hose and was a makeshift, not purpose made. |

Peter - thanks. The reference to RV8 means you have the RV8 3.9 FI and pipework ? Roger |

Yes, It's a Hot wire 3.9 Fuel injected engine (out of a '94 I believe) and I put on a '86 range rover front and water pump that I happened to have from a cracked block 3.5 (sad story). Copy of a RV8 set up except with the longer nose RR pump. The thermostat housing is a typical rangerover "up and to the port side" thermostat (RV8) rather than the GTV8 pointing forward type. |

Yes - same as mine (except the timing cover) - useful tip - VMT Roger |
