MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Rear Axle
I think its time to have my back axle sorted. The whine is getting unbearable. I think a new C/W and pinnion is needed. I have a quafe LSD fitted. Are there any good companies out there who can do a proper job as ive heard that the 3.07:1 can be difficult to set up properly. Advise appreciated. Mark |

Dunno about with an LSD but Clive Wheatley supplies V8 CW&P and has access to a rebuilder. 01902 330489 or 01902 337294. |

Mark you might check the wheel bearings first. I recently corrected a whine by swaping in a spare axle shaft with the bearing already pressed on. Quick and inexpensive. |

Mark, Ive used a firm in Preston (Lancs) on my SD1 axle conversion, they recently replaced CWP for me, and it's nice and quiet, and they seem very knowlegeable, they just do transmissions, it's an old fashioned place that looks as though it's been around for ages. Are they any good to you ? Mike |

Paul Thanks for Clive wheatleys details. Ozzie I think its more than bearings as Ive changed halfshafts recently allbeit with used bearings. Michael I was really looking for a company that someone has used to their satisfaction, specifically with the MG 3.07:1. but thanks anyway. Anyone had first hand experience? Thanks Mark |
