MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Sept V8 Newsletter now online
With 54 minutes to spare!!!! I said I'd try to get each newsletter out on the 15th of the cover month, and so far, I've been able to do it. The current issue is a LARGE file (6.9MB) because of all the photos, so it takes a LOOOOONG time to download, about 15 minutes at 56K. http://www.britishv8.org/sep2002.pdf Enjoy, and feedback welcomed. |

Looks good Dan. Guess I'll have to rig up the color printer. |
Jim Blackwood |
Yes, Looks very good!! Also looks like I have my work cut out for me DAN, you have that survey ready yet?? I need to get it handed out at the next club meeting so that we can get it to the other british clubs in the area ASAP.. |
Larry Embrey |
Congrats Dan!! Looks great and is a good read. I hope enough people will send money to keep it going! I sent my $20 last month, hope you received it. Thanks again, Martyn |
Martyn Harvey |
Hi, Dan, Another super issue! It sure beats waiting for the snail mail. The pics are great. Carl (P.5) sure looks like a happy camper! Everyone sure enjoyed the Brit V8 Convention. Please keep us up to date on the West V8 Convention. My 2003 newsletter check will follow. Regards, Jack |
John Renaud |
Well, Martyn mailed Dan $20.00, I gave him a $20 at the convention, how about the rest of you? Dan says in this issue that without some income, it may be back to some form of mailing, presumably on a subscription basis, as only a few have stepped up with cash. If you all like the on line version as I do, it should be a point of personal honor to support the newsletter, since there is no way at present to limit access to subscribers. Send those dimes & dollars, please, & thanks to Dan for another fine issue. |
Jim Stuart |
Dan: Great issue. Sent my money to you last March/April. Feel the newsletter is what keeps the V8ers connected. Everyone that reads it needs to contribute financially. |
Jim Miller |
Where do you send the money too? |
Bruce |
Contributions should be sent to: The British V8 Newsletter CO DMP PO Box 6430 Maryville, TN 37802-6430 Regards, Dan |
Dan Masters |
Dan, You managed to improve with each issue, this one is great!! To everyone reading these postings, Dan not only need financial support to keep things going...he also need input, articles, photos, or anything else British V8 related. The most daunting task in keeping the Newsletter going is getting material! Sit down at the computer and put together something, your own experiences with the conversion, uprating, tips, parts sources, how you hid the expenses from the wife....etc. Kurt |
Kurt Schley |
Dan, great work! I appreciate your hard work. I am sending you my subscription fee. I am willing to send you input, tell me what you need. Again thanks! r/Bill |
Bill Guzman |
Kudos to Dan Masters for another great issue of The British V8 Newsletter! It'll be a looong wait for the next issue. You sure you don't want to go monthly? :) :D I was really hoping that we would get to see an article from Leon Zak with details about his switch to Holley TBI. How about it Leon? Next issue, maybe? |
Carl |
What kind of operating cost are we looking at Dan? Maybe other readers can help out in different ways. What's this in the newsletter. 2003 convention in TN?? |
Michael Hartwig |
Dan, Great job on the newsletter. It keeps getting better with every issue. I also want to thank Kurt Schley for starting and editing the newsletter for so many years. Good job guys! Rod |

Your work is VERY appreciated. The V8News is my 'must read', and to see it online rejuvinates my faith in humanity. That sound is an angel's chorus in tribute to your selfless dedication - to 'spread the word' at personal expence. Thank you from the bottom of my heart (smelling wildfloweres, hydrocarbons ect.) We rejoice in the.. bla, bla.. don't touch me there... Please keep it coming. Your place in Heaven's greasepit is assured. Hallelujah! That $500,000 cheque's in the mail ($20 from me). The Lord giveth and we keep on suckin it up! Er... thanks. Don't drop that. |
