MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - V8 2006 where are you staying

Those of you not staying at the Tally Ho where are you staying. Like always I wait till the last minute to decide. Dan can you tell me what is closes and what kind of parking will it have. Thank you all Denny of Hamilton,OH

I think most folks that didn't get a room at the Talley-Ho Inn are stating at the Comfort Inn (Ken Costello is staying there). For other choices, see:

I booked at the CI too. The wife commands, I obey. Or something like that...
Jim Blackwood

Jim,

I received the same orders as well...Comfort Inn

Denny, when are you planning on leaving? Perhaps we can get a caravan going down?

I'm booked at the Highland Manner Inn. Talley Ho was booked and the Highland Manner was about $10/night less than the comfort inn.

Mike I am leaving Sunday at about 9:oo am. Jim when are you leaving. Denny

Don't know, I haven't been told yet ;) No, really a reasonably early start would be a good thing I guess, how far are you from the Ohio river?

Jim

The V8 meet in 2003 was based at the Highland. Be sure to walk about the property (especially in back) and see if the 1963 split-window Corvette is still there, deteriorating away (we took the liberty of rolling the windows up on it in May 2003). Several neat old tractors, too...John Deere I believe.

The Highland Manor and Comfort Inn are pretty close to each other....and not too far away from the Tally Ho! (The Tally Ho is the last hotel on the south before you enter Little River Road on your trek throught the GReat Smoky Mountains National Park towards Gatlinburg.)

Aha! That's what was confusing me. Now I know where everything is.

Denny, as of now we are planning on leaving saturday AM. I kinda told Harvey Liechti I would meet him down there Saturday evening. If that changes I'll let you know.

Rick,

If you remember from the 2003 V8 meet, there was another British car show going on at a moter just up the street from the Highland Manor Inn- that show was at the Valley View motel.

Within a mile of Tally ho, who reccomended it

I know of at least 1 cancellation at the Talley Ho today. Might be worth a phone call. (not mine)
Jim Stuart

Thanks, Jim.

Interesting. Tally Ho says no. Guy says he's been there since 3pm. Totally booked for Sunday. One room available for Monday only.

If you hear any more, I need a Sunday-only room. Be hangin' with the Silver Bullet guy Tues. & Wed.
Carl Floyd

Very interesting, since Dave Michel cancelled his reservation Thursday morning.
Jim Stuart

james madson

james madson

"can someone that will be attending send me your cell number(s) so i can call when i get there if no one is around?"

James,

Not to worry, there will be someone there at all times in or around the conference room to help you out (most likely me).

You can find the map at http://www.britishv8.org

See you here!
Dan Masters

Jim, I had a feeling that it was Dave, you were speaking about. Tell him he WILL be missed.
