No use to me. It's more than 1/4 mile to the pub. |

I guess you guys also saw this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=290059313446&rd=1,1 I was interested in this, but the downside to me was 3 fold. 1. It was still a 4.2l 2. the cam peaked at 8500 per the specs (I didn't want a drag race engine). 3. I guess, after I really looked at it, all I truly wanted was the complete heads and the block. I emailed the fellow and got a price for a long block (heads, crank pistons, rods, studs) and maybe a couple more small things. He said 3500 for those. I was thinking I would go 2500 for that, but as I know how much money it took, I decided not to insult him. Sad thing is that my 3.5 cost me that much to build and it runs pretty stong. I hate to basically toss most of it to have only a 4.2. A couple months ago, there was a Westfield Rover 5.0l V8 that I could never get the guy to respond to my emails about. I think it was over 4000, but I can't recall. What is puzzling to me is the fact that I have enough power at this point that simply pushing the throttle down to the floor while rolling in 2nd and 3rd will cause the tires to break loose (no clutch dumping required). So, when I admit that, I sound a little out of my mind to want even more power. 20/20 hindsight is that I should have built a 5.0l stroker screamer in the 1st place. Maybe Santa will put the Westfield back on eBay. Merry Christmas, Richard |

Dan, I like yours the best. And it looks really good mounted on the suspension. Richard |

Well, if money really *IS* no object, here's another one. But it's well out of reach for most of us. Even me, if I hadn't built it myself. (OK, I admit it, I'm bragging. Should I duck?) Jim http://www.britishv8.org/MG/JimBlackwood.htm |

here are some startling Rover V8's http://www.rpiv8.com/engine-3.htm#5.2 I was supposed to get one, but I got a notice from Santa that my chimney was too small to bring the engine down. That's the only way he delivers out here in Indian country. (Broken Arrow Oklahoma). Needless to say, I am heartbroken. Darnit, that was close! ;-) Richard |
